Mark Ash (Libertarian Candidate)

Mark Ash has been an attorney in private practice since 1994. He was also an attorney in the Law Office of Manuel Solis.

Ash received an associate degree from New Mexico State University, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and a law degree from the South Texas College of Law. He has been licensed by the State Bar of Texas since 1993.

Michelle Slaughter (Republican Candidate)

Judge Michelle Slaughter has served on the 405th District Court since 2013. Prior to this, she was the founder and managing member of the Slaughter Law Firm PLLC and an attorney at Locke Lord LLP and Haynes and Boone LLP.

Slaughter received a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude and a law degree from the University of Houston. She has been licensed by the State Bar of Texas since 2004.
