(Houston, TX) – Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC issued the following statement endorsing the re-election of State Representative Wayne Smith in House District 128.

Rep. Smith is a committed conservative and a respected leader in the Texas House. He understands that lawsuit reform is critical to creating jobs both in his district and across Texas. TLRPAC is proud to endorse him.

Smith was first elected to the Texas House of Representative in 2002. He currently serves as Chairman of the Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee and is a member of the Culture, Recreation, and Tourism Committee.

Smith is an established businessman and a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. Smith was the president of Wayne Smith and Associated, Inc. Consulting Engineers. He is a Registered Public Land Surveyor and Licensed Professional Engineer.

Rep. Smith and his wife Brenda currently live in Baytown. They have two children and three grandchildren.

House District 128 is in Harris County.
