AUSTIN—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today endorsed Susanna Dokupil of Houston in the Republican Primary for Place 9 on the First Court of Appeals, which covers Harris County and nine surrounding counties.

“Texas judges make critical decisions every day that impact our families and our freedoms, particularly on our intermediate appellate courts, which are often the last stop for some of the most consequential decisions affecting our state,” TLRPAC General Counsel Lee Parsley said. “Susanna Dokupil’s unique background in civil litigation and appeals is an important asset for one of the busiest intermediate appellate courts in our state. Dokupil is special counsel in the Texas Attorney General’s Office Special Litigation Division, where she has served as lead counsel on cases before state and federal trial courts. She is chairman of the R Street Institute Board of Directors. She is also former general counsel for the Republican Party of Texas, previously of counsel at Seiler Mitby PLLC, a former partner at Practus LLP, former CEO of Paladin Strategies and a former assistant solicitor general in the Texas Attorney General’s Office.

Dokupil received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in church-state studies from Baylor University, a masters of professional studies in strategic public relations from George Washington University and a law degree from Harvard University, where she was editor-in-chief of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy.
