TLRPAC Endorses Ray Callas for HD 21

AUSTIN, TX—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today announced its endorsement of Ray Callas for the Texas House of Representatives (HD 21).

“A Galveston native and lifelong Texan, Ray is an outstanding conservative leader who has spent the last two decades serving both professional organizations and local community efforts to shape policy in Austin,” TLR President Lee Parsley said on behalf of TLRPAC. “Ray understands the issues that are vital to the Texas way of life, and that includes the preservation of a legal system that is fair and efficient for all. TLRPAC is proud to support him.”

“TLR has long stood for fairness, accountability and economic opportunity. They are a dependable voice when it matters most – just as I will be a trusted and reliable representative in Austin. With TLR’s support, I will continue the fight to end lawsuit abuse and make sure Texas remains a national leader in job creation and prosperity,” said Callas.

A local physician, Dr. Callas is a US Navy veteran who received two medals for his service during Operation Desert Storm. In 2017, Dr. Callas became a partner and owner at Kare Infusion Center and continues to serve patients in regional hospitals and care centers.

Dr. Callas currently serves as a commissioner for the Texas Commission on Licensing and Regulation. Governor Greg Abbott also appointed Dr. Callas as a commissioner on the Jefferson & Orange County Pilot Commission. More recently, Callas served as the president of the Texas Medical Association for the 2025 legislative session.

Among other priorities, Dr. Callas’s campaign is focused on securing the Texas border and strengthening Texas’s economy – the eighth largest in the world.

TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas. TLR’s mission is to foster freedom, innovation, and job creation by advocating for a fair, efficient and predictable civil justice system led by competent and independent judges who apply the constitution and laws as written.
