Runoff election will be held September 18

AUSTIN—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) has endorsed Pete Flores in the runoff election for Senate District 19, which covers Brewster, Crockett, Dimmit, Edwards, Frio, Kinney, Maverick, Medina, Pecos, Real, Reeves, Terrell, Uvalde, Val Verde and Zavala counties, and parts of Atascosa and Bexar counties. The runoff election will occur on Tuesday, September 18.

“Texas would not be a national leader in job creation without principled men and women in the Legislature who will fight for common-sense policies—like a fair and predictable court system—to keep our economy thriving,” TLRPAC Chairman Richard J. Trabulsi Jr. said. “Pete Flores has a distinguished record of service to our state and is uniquely aware of the challenges and opportunities facing this district. We are confident he will work to strengthen our state’s legal system and economy.”

Flores retired as a colonel game warden from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) in 2012 after serving for 27 years, and is currently a consultant and instructor for the National Association of Conservation Law Enforcement Chiefs Leadership Academy. He was the first Hispanic director of law enforcement for TPWD and a graduate of the Governor’s Executive Development Program and the National Conservation Leadership Institute’s Fellowship Program. He also holds a Texas Master Peace Officer certificate and is past vice president of the National Association of Conservation Law Enforcement Chiefs (USA). Flores received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.

TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas. TLR is a bipartisan, volunteer-led coalition with 16,300 supporters residing in more than 900 Texas communities and representing 1,255 different businesses, professions and trades.
