(Houston, TX) – Texans for Lawsuit Reform is proud to endorse Kevin D. Jewell of Houston for the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, Place 2. Mr. Jewell’s outstanding credentials and experience ideally qualify him for the Fourteenth Court of Appeals.
Mr. Jewell is currently with Chamberlain Hrdlicka White Williams & Aughtry, where he has specialized in appeals and related trial court litigation, and has served on the firm’s Management Committee since 2010. Since 1998, he has been Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. As an appellate attorney, Mr. Jewell has represented clients in many challenging and complex cases in state and federal courts in Texas and other jurisdictions. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the University of Houston in 1993.
His opponent, Bud Wiesedeppe, does not have a distinguished record in the practice of law. In his unsuccessful race for a district court in 2012, a number of his contributors were associated with the sexually oriented “Treasures” strip club. Importantly, at the time, a case against “Treasures” was pending in the court Wiesedeppe was running for.
