(Houston, TX) Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC has endorsed Justice Cindy Bourland for the 3rd Court of Appeals. In making the endorsement, TLRPAC Chairman Richard J. Trabulsi, Jr., said: “Justice Bourland brings extraordinary legal experience and a conservative judicial philosophy to the 3rd Court of Appeals. She has quickly proven she is a great asset to this important court and TLRPAC is proud to endorse her.”
Prior to joining the court, Justice Bourland was in private practice for twenty years. She has extensive experience in business trial and appellate cases in state and federal courts. She was a partner at the firms of Hance Scarborough, LLP and Merica & Bourland, PC.
In 2009, Justice Bourland opened Bourland Law Firm, PC in Round Rock where she practiced until being appointed to the court. A fifth-generation native of Round Rock, Justice Bourland received her undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown and her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. She was appointed to the 3rd Court of Appeals in January 2015. Justice Bourland’s late husband, Mike Bourland, was a DPS officer in Williamson County and later owned a business in Round Rock.
