AUSTIN—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today endorsed Chief Justice Jeff Rose of Austin for reelection to the Third Court of Appeals, which serves Travis and 23 additional counties.

He brings extensive experience to the bench as an attorney in private practice, as First Assistant Attorney General and as a state district court judge. He is committed to upholding the rule of law and to applying the laws as-written. TLRPAC is proud to support him.”

Rose served from 2006 to 2009 as Texas’ Deputy First Assistant Attorney General under then-Attorney General Greg Abbott, helping manage the office and overseeing the Consumer Protection and Public Health, Antitrust, Civil Medicaid Fraud and Natural Resources divisions. He also served as chief of the office’s Civil General Litigation Division. Previously, Rose was a litigation partner at Strasburger and Price and Brown McCarroll. He received bachelor’s degrees from Baylor University, a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School and completed training as a mediator through the Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation.

Rose has been named four times as a Texas Super Lawyer and is a member of the Austin Bar Association Board of Directors. He is a former board member of the Capitol Area Food Bank and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Texas, and a graduate of Leadership Austin. He is also a founder of The Rise School and the Sportsman’s Club of Austin.

The Third Court of Appeals serves 24 counties: Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Coke, Comal, Concho, Fayette, Hays, Irion, Lampasas, Lee, Llano, McCulloch, Milam, Mills, Runnels, San Saba, Schleicher, Sterling, Tom Green, Travis and Williamson counties.
