AUSTIN—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today endorsed Jeff Bauknight for election in the Republican Primary for House District 30, which covers DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda and Victoria counties.
“TLRPAC supports candidates who understand that a fair and efficient legal system is a critical pillar of the Texas Miracle,” TLR Executive Director Mary Tipps said on behalf of TLRPAC. “Mayor Jeff Bauknight is a successful businessman and committed public servant with deep ties to HD 30. As a job creator, Jeff has seen firsthand the importance of enacting common-sense policies to protect our strong economic environment, including keeping our courts fair and efficient. TLRPAC is proud to support him.”
Bauknight is the mayor of Victoria and owner of Crossroads Mechanical Inc., a mechanical contracting firm that specializes in commercial HVAC work. As mayor, Bauknight cut city property taxes and invested in critical infrastructure for the community. He is a member of numerous local boards, including the Victoria Economic Development Corp., and is a former member of the Victoria City Council and the Crossroads Commission on Education, where he worked with the Texas Legislature to expand the University of Houston-Victoria into a four-year university. Bauknight received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
