AUSTIN, TX—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today announced its endorsement of Rep. Janie Lopez for re-election in House District (HD) 37.
“South Texas can rely on Janie Lopez to deliver real, conservative results,” TLR President Lee Parsley said on behalf of TLRPAC. “Janiehas a deep understandingof the critical matters facing HD 37, and her impressive professional and public service career gives her a unique awareness of hardworking Texans’ needs. Janie knows the importance of commonsense lawsuit reforms to Texas’s success, and TLRPAC is pleased to support her.”
“I am proud of what I have accomplished on behalf of South Texas throughout the nearly two terms I have served in the Texas House of Representatives,” said Lopez. “But more work remains. With Texans for Lawsuit Reform’s support, I will prioritize shutting down lawsuit abuse. Texans deserve a civil justice system focused on justice, not jackpot lawsuits.”
In November 2022, Janie Lopez made history by becoming the first Republican Hispanic elected as State Representative to represent HD 37, which includes both Willacy and Cameron Counties.
TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas.
