AUSTIN, TX—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today announced its endorsement of Rep. Angelia Orr for re-election in House District (HD) 13.
“TLRPAC is proud to support Angelia Orr for re-election,” TLR President Lee Parsley said on behalf of TLRPAC. “Wife, mother and small business owner, Angelia has dedicated her life to raising her family and serving her community. She is an unwavering conservative voice and advocate for rural Texas who believes in a civil justice system that serves every Texan.”
“I am honored to earn the support of Texans for Lawsuit Reform,” said Orr. “Rural Texas needs an unapologetic advocate who will fight for conservative values. I will continue to take action against the job-killing lawsuit abuses that raise costs for Texas families – in my district and across the state.”
A former substitute teacher and advocate for local public schools, Orr was elected to the Itasca School Board in 2007 and went on to serve two terms as Board secretary. In 2010, she decided to run for District Clerk in Hill County, winning a competitive, three-person primary before defeating a five-term incumbent. Orr was first elected to represent HD 13 in 2022.
TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas. TLR’s mission is to foster freedom, innovation, and job creation by advocating for a fair, efficient and predictable civil justice system led by competent and independent judges who apply the constitution and laws as written.
