TLRPAC Endorses Tom Butler for HD 128

AUSTIN, TX—Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today announced its endorsement of Tom Butler for the Texas House of Representatives (HD 128).

“TLRPAC is proud to support Tom Butler—a true conservative with a steadfast commitment to serving HD 128, the same community in which Tom was raised,” TLR President Lee Parsley said on behalf of TLRPAC. “Currently the Vice Chairman of the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR), Tom knows how to cut through red tape and keep Texas’s workforce growing and prosperous. He understands the importance of a fair and efficient civil justice system to every hardworking Texan, and we believe he will make an impact on day one.”

“I’m proud to have the support of Texans for Lawsuit Reform. For more than a decade, I have served this great state at TDLR, helping to make sure that we have a robust and capable workforce and industry growth. In the Texas House, I’ll work to end lawsuit abuse, defend taxpayers and keep Texas strong,” said Butler.

Butler has been appointed by Governors Rick Perry and Greg Abbott to numerous state boards, including the Texas Credit Union Commission and TDLR. He also serves locally on the boards of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce, Texas Equasearch and Downtown Houston Rotary.

Butler is president of USI Federal Credit Union in La Porte and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Among other priorities, Butler’s campaign is focused on cutting property taxes, securing free and fair elections, cracking down on crime and preserving medical freedom.

TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas. TLR’s mission is to foster freedom, innovation, and job creation by advocating for a fair, efficient and predictable civil justice system led by competent and independent judges who apply the constitution and laws as written.
