TLRPAC Endorses Tom Craddick for Re-Election in HD 82

Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today endorsed Rep. Tom Craddick for reelection in House District (HD) 82, which covers Midland, Martin and Dawson counties.

“A committed conservative, State Rep. Tom Craddick has served as a member of the Texas House for more than 50 years. His outstanding and tireless service to the state is unmatched,” TLR President Lee Parsley said on behalf of TLRPAC. “Rep. Craddick brings with him a deep understanding of the vital issues impacting Permian interests, including the need for a civil justice system that is balanced and fair. TLRPAC is proud to endorse Rep. Craddick, and we look forward to his continued work to maintain Texas’s economic prominence and growth.”

“I’ve seen first-hand TLR’s positive impact when it comes to job growth and innovation. Reforming our legal system is essential to the Lone Star State’s continued success, and chief among the important matters facing my constituents and the entire state. I’m proud to have TLR’s endorsement,” said Craddick.

Craddick is the Dean of the Texas House of Representatives and was first elected to the Texas House in 1968. He serves as a member of the Committee on Energy Resources and is the chairman of the Committee on Transportation.

In 2003, Craddick became the first Republican speaker of the House in more than 130 years. Under his Speakership, Craddick shepherded the nation’s most comprehensive lawsuit reform bill (HB 4) through the Texas House.

TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas. TLR’s mission is to foster freedom, innovation, and job creation by advocating for a fair, efficient and predictable civil justice system led by competent and independent judges who apply the constitution and laws as written.
