TLRPAC Endorses Brett Ligon for SD 4

TLRPAC Endorses Brett Ligon for SD 4

Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today announced its endorsement of Brett Ligon for Texas Senate District 4 (SD 4).

“TLRPAC is proud to stand behind Brett Ligon, a proven, conservative leader who served nearly 20 years on the front lines of law and order as Montgomery County District Attorney,” TLR President Lee Parsley said on behalf of TLRPAC. “Brett has a clear mission: to deliver justice without compromise. He has witnessed firsthand the vital importance of a fair and balanced civil justice system – one that discourages abusive litigation while protecting the rights of all Texans. We are confident Brett will make a meaningful impact on day one.”

A Montgomery County native, Ligon spent the last 30+ years focused on public safety and law enforcement, earning himself a reputation for the relentless pursuit of justice.

A graduate of Texas A&M University and South Texas College of Law, Ligon began his career as a jailer at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and worked his way up to Assistant District Attorney under legendary Harris County District Attorney Johnny Holmes, where he prosecuted thousands of cases and led the Justice of the Peace Division. Ligon then spent a decade as counsel for the Houston Police Officers’ Union, fighting for the men and women in uniform.

Ligon has been married to his childhood sweetheart, Shannon, for 32 years. Guided by their Catholic faith, they share two children.

Ligon’s campaign is focused on keeping Texas families and communities safe; securing the border; cutting property taxes and protecting taxpayers; and championing the conservative values that make Texas strong.

TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas. TLR’s mission is to foster freedom, innovation, and job creation by advocating for a fair, efficient and predictable civil justice system led by competent and independent judges who apply the constitution and laws as written.
