Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC (TLRPAC) today endorsed Leigh Wambsganss for Senate District (SD) 9 Special Election. SD 9, which has been left vacant by the appointment of Senator Kelly Hancock to Chief Clerk of the Texas Comptroller’s office, covers nearly half of Tarrant County.
“TLRPAC is proud to support Leigh Wambsganss,” TLR President Lee Parsley said on behalf of TLRPAC. “An articulate voice on national media and a strong communicator, Leigh Wambsganss is a passionate advocate who will bring to public office a depth of understanding of Texas public policy. We know she will be a champion of common-sense conservative economic principles, like keeping our courts fair, cutting taxes and safeguarding our freedoms.”
Wambsganss began her professional career working as a television news anchor, reporter and producer. She left television to work on congressional campaigns during the Republican Revolution of the 1990s, before moving to Texas in 1996. There, she founded Southlake Realty, a boutique real estate firm.
Wambsganss served for over a decade on the Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee and held key leadership roles with the Republican Women of North Texas. She has been a delegate to six Texas Republican State Conventions and served on the GOP Platform Committee, working to advance conservative principles statewide.
TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR), the largest civil justice reform organization in Texas. TLR’s mission is to foster freedom, innovation, and job creation by advocating for a fair, efficient and predictable civil justice system staffed by competent and independent judges who apply the constitution and laws as written.
